I debated and looked at multiple grills in box stores and specialty stores. I am impressed with the quality: the seemingly durable construction and the grilling capabilities. It was easy to put together. It was cheaper than I could find locally and was shipped for free with my Prime membership. I hope to have it for years to come.
We purchased this grill from a local retailer who not only assembled it but also delivered it. Normally I would have made the purchase through Amazon, but in this circumstance I couldn't resist the free assembly :-). This grill is incredible. The heat is perfect, the sear station is perfect, and the side burner is plenty hot. I've used some side burners in the past that could barely boil water, but this one heats faster than my stove! There is plenty of cooking room on the grill and the warming rack above is high enough to not hinder your cooking area. I used it like an oven to make pulled barbecue beef the other day, lighting only one burner and using the thermometer to control the heat. I had the meat & sauce in a cast iron, ceramic-lined cooker and when several hours later it was cooked to perfection; no burning or scorching! I am so glad we made this choice. Once you open the lid you'll understand why most grills are so much cheaper. The quality and thickness of the grill is sure to last us for many, many years. And, no propane tanks to fill!
Our old Weber gas grill was 16 years old -- still working, but beginning to need replacement parts (wooden handle broken, drip pan underneath had fallen off, beginning to rust in places, etc.), so I decided it was time for a new Weber. We also got the Weber cover for the new grill. We love our new Genesis E-330! We think it gets hotter than the old grill and like the cast iron grates which make sear marks on the meat, even without using the "sear station". Haven't used the side burner yet, but expect it to be a plus when we're cooking for a crowd. Thankfully, the delivery guy put the 200-lb. grill on our patio in the backyard (using a handtruck). It took our plumber just about 2 hours to disconnect and remove the old Weber, then un-crate, put together, and hook up the new grill to our gasline. Only problem is the price -- it was expensive at $800+ -- but a better price (DELIVERED) from Amazon than elsewhere.
